Analysis of the development form of the elevator industry in 2015

Under the background that the overall economic situation is not optimistic, my country's elevator industry still maintains a steady growth trend. In 2014, the growth rate of the industry exceeded expectations, and most manufacturers lived relatively well. For 2015, which has come, can the elevator industry continue to maintain high growth? Especially after the implementation of the "Special Equipment Safety Law", what changes will occur in the elevator industry? Which companies are expected to become market protagonists? Which technologies will dominate the industry? This issue of Elevator Weekly organizes a special topic to forecast and analyze the development of the elevator industry in 2014.

"Special Equipment Safety Law" clarifies the installation and maintenance responsibilities of elevator manufacturing units, and more and more bidding and purchasing units will require relevant requirements Included in the bidding documents.

The growth rate of production and sales slowed down and the increase was considerable

In the past two years, the growth rate of elevator production and sales in my country has slowed down, but the increment is still considerable. In 2012, the national elevator production and sales volume was 529,000 units, an increase of 15.8% over 2011. Data from the China Elevator Association shows that in 2013, the national elevator production and sales volume was about 600,000 units, still maintaining a growth rate of 15%, exceeding expectations.

Industry analysts believe that although the national real estate macro-control has a certain impact on the elevator market, the implementation of new urbanization policies and the construction of affordable housing And the rapid development of public transportation in large and medium-sized cities across the country has delayed the decline in the production and sales of elevators in commercial buildings to a certain extent. Overall, the elevator industry will continue to maintain a healthy and stable development trend.

Industry experts said that the growth rate will not decrease and the growth rate will fall will become the normal development of China's elevator market in the next few years, which means that in 2014 my country's elevator production and sales will maintain steady growth, and the estimated growth rate will remain above 10%.

In the past, elevator market demand was mainly concentrated in first- and second-tier cities, but in the past two years, elevator demand in third- and fourth-tier cities has grown rapidly. With the continuous reduction of construction land in big cities, some small towns have gradually become new frontiers for real estate developers to develop. In addition, the number of old elevators in first-tier cities has begun to increase, and the increase in elevator renovation projects has also become a new market highlight.

Intensified market competition

Although the elevator market capacity continues to expand every year , but the intensified market competition has become an indisputable fact. This is mainly due to two aspects: on the one hand, there are too many elevator manufacturers, resulting in an overall overcapacity and an imbalance between supply and demand; on the other hand, due to the increase in labor costs and raw material prices, the cost of elevator enterprises has increased, and the overall industry profits reduce. In order to ensure market share, some large manufacturers can only sell at lower prices, while those small and medium-sized enterprises that once relied on price advantages to win the market will lose part of the market.

With the intensification of market competition, small and medium-sized enterprises that lack core technology and rely on price wars for a long time will be gradually eliminated.

Installation and maintenance to industrialization

January 2014 On the 1st, the implementation of the "Special Equipment Safety Law" has pointed out the direction for the development of the elevator industry, and the installation and maintenance that has attracted much attention has become the focus of the law. The law requires that the installation, modification and repair of elevators must be carried out by the elevator manufacturing unit or the unit entrusted by it that has obtained the corresponding license in accordance with this law. If the elevator manufacturing unit entrusts other units to carry out elevator installation, transformation and repair, it shall conduct safety guidance and monitoring for its installation, transformation and repair, and conduct verification and debugging in accordance with the requirements of safety technical specifications. The elevator manufacturing unit is responsible for the safety performance of the elevator. .

The maintenance of elevators shall be carried out by the elevator manufacturer or the installation, transformation and repair unit that has obtained the corresponding license in accordance with this Law. The maintenance unit of the elevator shall strictly implement the requirements of safety technical specifications during maintenance, ensure the safety performance of the elevator it maintains, and be responsible for implementing on-site safety protection measures to ensure construction safety.

It can be said that the "Special Equipment Safety Law" puts forward higher requirements for elevator installation and maintenance. However, as far as the entire market is concerned, there are widespread phenomena such as inadequate installation and maintenance, and irregularities. In order to avoid this situation, some manufacturers have begun to take installation and maintenance measures to improve the quality of installation and maintenance, ensure the safety of elevator use, and strive to provide customers with "one-stop" services such as sales, installation, and maintenance, and installation and maintenance to the industry. Transformation is the trend of the times.

Intelligent elevator safety supervision

Increase in elevator ownership , also put forward higher requirements for elevator safety supervision. It is understood that there are currently about 3 million elevators in my country. In the face of the huge number of elevators in use, how to reduce the elevator safety accident rate has become a difficult problem that the regulatory authorities must solve.

The application of Internet of Things technology in the field of elevators realizes the intelligentization of elevator safety supervision. The so-called Internet of Things technology for elevator safety supervision is to install a sensor for the elevator and connect it with the Internet and mobile phones. It can continuously transmit information to the upper-level platform within 24 hours. This ensures that when the elevator fails, the maintenance personnel receive the information at the first time and make emergency measures, thereby improving the supervision efficiency and effectively avoiding the occurrence of safety accidents.

As the Internet of Things technology becomes more and more mature, regulators, manufacturers and users continue to pay attention to elevator safety. In 2014, it will be regarded as the Internet of Things elevator technology. In the first year of development, more and more cities will introduce IoT technology into the elevator supervision system.

Continuous upgrade of safety and energy saving technology

will bring about changes in the industry. But for the elevator industry, safety and energy saving is still the main theme of the industry development in 2014.

Inspired by the frequent elevator safety accidents in the past two years, both the industry and elevator manufacturers have improved elevator safety standards. The "Safety Specifications for Manufacture and Installation of Escalators and Moving Sidewalks" implemented in 2012, in the "anti-collision baffle", "anti-pinch device", "distance from the lower edge of the handrail", "instructions for use" and "stopping distance" 5 aspects have been revised.

The new national standard applies the SIL electrical system safety level standard to the escalator for the first time. For the failure rate of escalator overspeed protection and retrograde protection, the new national standard allows failure once every 10 million hours of operation. For escalator steps, the new national standard requires that after a step has been stepped on by passengers 5 million times, no cracks are allowed.

Yongda Elevator has successfully developed two safety technology patents of "brake force detection" and "escalator slide self-rescue", which fundamentally avoids the Elevator safety hazards caused by brake failure.

Permanent magnet synchronous gearless traction machine, energy feedback technology and other applications make the elevator more energy-saving.
